No offense, but the Dayglow tour dates have been selected (although unannounced to the public) for quite some time... SlantE just now got around to posting it on the message board because the venue and line-up were finally released instead of just the date.

I think the kokens new hours are til 1:30am so maybe people could go to both, if they arent too expensive. Dayglow was like $40 last time though.

The best part of being in the party scene in Saint Louis?

There's plenty of examples of nights where there's more than one event and everyone is still successful. :)

These bigger franchise tours usually don't have much affect, if any, on more "underground" style events. :) ((Unless of course they bring headliners of a similar genre, then that is a tad different.))

the production alone on this show cost more than your entire party TIMES 10 ! get real dude, this event has been in the works for months. good luck on your event, but no need to litter this thread with how much your party is going to better .... thanks for the good laugh this morning though, but do some homework before you start talking sh*t. Where was this originally posted? And what gives you the right to get an attitude about the date choice on an event that has been planned months in advance?

This makes me lol.

It's amazing what $25 will get your event page. lol (not too mention one of the DJ's name was misspelled on the banner, smh.)

But honestly, i say go easy on the guy. For all we know he is spending all the money he has in the world to throw his first party. There's lots of anxiety that can go along with it and you want everything to go just perfect. But. as you go along you learn its best not to share these concerns on a public forum, rather talk to friends and people you actually know and trust about it.
Forums can be very clique-y and people love to poke the new puppy with a stick. Not worth the time and effort.
Best thing you can do, is run YOUR shit the best you can. Don't worry too much about what everyone else is doing. Just keep doing your shit, and do it for the right reasons and you can't possibly fail. (unless making money is your first goal, then you'll probably fail.)

It still shocks me to see how many people focus only on making money, and they act surprised when they find out throwing parties won't pay all your bills.

Huge love to all the promoters that do it because they love it, even when they lose money. Wub Wub

I've read this information a few times but I still feel like I don't know what it's about. Djs and paint cannons? So, I show up and get paint poured on me?
How does one clean up after paint cannons?
I'm SO confused.

$30-$60 is well worth the insanity to occur. The Pageant was just a prelude compared to this!

I watched a few youtube videos and they are dumping paint on people .. some were squirted in the face and did not look pleased, however, they have really attractive dancers in the show. Girls like that will look like aliens in STL. I'm still not sure what this show entails as it seems some have more acts than others or rather from what I just watched and read this show is going to be particularly minimal as in the stage show compared to most the videos on youtube?
This is going to sound stupid but is it possible to go to this show without getting paint squirted on me? I'd like to see a touring production because that doesn't seem to happen much and it almost looks fun but if it's going to be the bare bones version of this I'm not sure. Do they brings their own lights in addition to the lasers? The laser light show isn't just guys with laserpointers, right?

I have similar concerns about this show. If I'm expected to pay a high ticket price, I expect full scale production, not a minimal act. I've been suckered by the promise of mind blowing production before only to be dissapointed when the venue isn't built for anything on a grand scale therefore the set up is lackluster at best.

many cities will charge $40 for nervo without the dayglow production.

dayglow paint madness + 3000 people + headliner + top notch sound and venue = worth $75+ in many cities

Panama City Beach ($40-$80)

White outfit acquired! Thrift stores FTW.

In case anyone is worried about ruining their shoes (if they're not washable), I suggest going to WalMart - they have 98 cent flip flops that are surprisingly comfortable.
